At Grandma's is a special one for me. It was inspired by how I felt sitting in my grandma's home, surrounded by familiar things, patterns and little treasures collected over time. The little plate of fruit is a nod to my grandma, who was a fruit picker. I love the mix of soft pinks, earthy greens and rich burgundy, with that oversized vase and patterned tablecloth. A little nostalgic, a little quirky and full of warmth. It takes me right back to those cosy moments at Grandma's.

Stripes & Crosses is all about a little pattern play. Stripes and crosses pop up throughout, while those beautiful but slightly awkward blue flowers do their own thing. A little wonky, a little unexpected, but somehow it all works! I just love the fun, happy feeling of this one. It's the kind of painting that would bring any room to life.

Birds of a Feather is a playful mix of soft peachy pinks, sage greens and little pops of blue. I love the birds making their way across the striped vase, with those slightly wonky green flowers doing their own thing above. A little unexpected, full of pattern and personality, and just the right amount of quirky!

Inspired by Life
I'm Anita Robinson, a Sydney-based contemporary artist creating original abstract still life paintings and fine art prints inspired by colour, nature and everyday objects. Every painting begins intuitively, using layered acrylic paint, texture and bold colour to create artwork that brings warmth, calm and personality into modern interiors.
I paint what inspires me — from cactus and cocktails to still life objects with personality and character.
